# Announcement on 4th halving of MDX

The 4th halving of MDEX governance token MDX took place at a block height of 13109498 on HECO and 15707398 for BSC on March 2nd, 2022.

After this halving, the number of rewards per block was cut by 50%, from the previous 20 MDX per block to 10 MDX per block.
