# An announcement on the ninth halving of MDX production

The output of MDEX governance token MDX has been halved for the ninth time at 12:00 on May 26, 2023 (UTC). HECO halving block height:26069151, BSC halving block height: 28547599. After this halving, the dual chain block rewards will be reduced from the previous0.625MDX per block to 0.3125MDX.
