# An announcement on the fifth halving of MDX production

The output of MDEX governance token MDX has been halved for the fifth time at 20:00 on May 31, 2022 (UTC+8). HECO halving block height:15701431, BSC halving block height: 18280165. After this halving, the dual chain block rewards will be reduced from the previous 10MDX per block to 5MDX.
