# An announcement on the seventh halving of MDX production

The output of MDEX governance token MDX has been halved for the seventh time at 12:00 on November 27, 2022 (UTC). HECO halving block height:20885503, BSC halving block height: 23416268. After this halving, the dual chain block rewards will be reduced from the previous2.5MDX per block to 1.25MDX.
