# An announcement on the sixth halving of MDX production

The output of MDEX governance token MDX has been halved for the sixth time at 20:00 on August 29, 2022 (UTC+8). HECO halving block height:18293418, BSC halving block height: 20864920. After this halving, the dual chain block rewards will be reduced from the previous 5MDX per block to 2.5MDX.
