# An announcement on the twelfth halving of MDX production

The output of MDEX governance token MDX has been halved for the twelfth time at 12:00 on February 20, 2024 (UTC). HECO halving block height:33844386, BSC halving block height: 36300406. After this halving, the dual chain block rewards will be reduced from the previous0.078125MDX per block to 0.0390625MDX.
