# An announcement on the tenth halving of MDX production

The output of MDEX governance token MDX has been halved for the tenth time at 12:00 on August 24, 2023 (UTC). HECO halving block height: 28660766, BSC halving block height: 31132000. After this halving, the dual chain block rewards will be reduced from the previous0.3125MDX per block to 0.15625MDX.
